And new generations that were born with these silo eating the open web, some naturally think that when they are using Facebook basic zero, they think they are on the Internet.

And sadly that's the case of millions of people: do you have Internet on your phone? No I don't.. I have Facebook.

My take is the open web will only be safeguarded by people, before protocols, by alternatives before platforms.

Only by strengthening open formats and providing a set of empowering tools that empower citizens to use the open web, while being connected wherever they want, we will stear away, progressively people from the corporate only use of the Internet back into the open web.
