I think the only time I feared ...
I think the only time I feared #covid19 was back in April 2020 when by reading crucial information from researchers I understood, some night at 2AM that Covid-19 was airborn, it wasn’t just about droplets, it was about Covid-19 being able to spread with thin air, ventilation systems, closed spaces, public transports etc…
Meanwhile at the same time Belgium Federal Health Minister was treating Covid-19 as a simple flu and was denigrating the use of masks. #dramaqueen
That night I got really afraid, not because of the virus itself but because of Public Health Officials, everywhere, unable to do basic public safety communication.
I see a lot of basic online reactions about people not being afraid of Covid-19, not wanting to subject to basic precautions to protect themselves and everyone else around them, family or not, and to me it’s all ignorance based primary reactions rooted in lack of knowledge.
That’s what I’m the most afraid of : ignorance and bad decisions making at the scale of globally interconnected human societies.
Not the virus, not the pandemic, not the vaccines.
